Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 24 June 2026

By accessing or using the Absher.om app or website, operated by ALMADER International SPC (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use the service.

1. The Service

Absher is Oman’s digital platform to read newspapers and verified news, browse and publish advertisements and notices in partner newspapers, watch and share short videos (Talks), and receive related notifications.

2. Accounts

  • You may browse parts of Absher as a guest. To publish ads, comment, or post Talks, you must register with a valid phone number and verification code.
  • You may register as an Individual or a Company and must provide accurate, current information.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device and access secure.

3. Publishing Ads & Notices

  • You confirm that you own or are authorized to publish the content you submit, and that it complies with applicable laws and the publishing agency’s guidelines.
  • All submissions are reviewed by us and the selected newspaper agency, which may approve or reject an ad at their discretion.
  • You grant us and the selected agency the rights necessary to review, format, and publish your ad in print and digital editions.
  • Prohibited content includes anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory, infringing, or offensive.

4. Payments & Fees

  • Fees for ad placements are shown before you pay and are charged in Omani Rial (OMR) through the Thawani payment gateway.
  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes or charges.
  • Publication is conditional on successful payment and approval.

5. Refund Policy

We want you to be confident when you publish with Absher. The following refund terms apply to paid ad placements:

  • Before publication — if your ad is rejected during review (by us or the agency) and is not published, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.
  • After publication — once an ad has been approved and published in a newspaper edition, the service is considered delivered and fees are non-refundable.
  • Billing errors — if you are charged but no service is rendered due to a technical or duplicate-charge error, you are entitled to a full refund.
  • Requesting a refund — submit your request within 14 days of payment, including your order or submission reference, to info@al-mader.com.
  • Processing — approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Thawani, typically within 7–14 business days. Any third-party gateway fees may be deducted where permitted by law.
  • Cancellations — you may cancel a submission for a full refund any time before it has been approved for publication.

6. Talks & User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you post, and grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute it within the service.
  • You are solely responsible for your content and must hold the rights to it.
  • We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
  • Upload malware or content that infringes the rights of others.

8. Intellectual Property

The service and its original content, features, and functionality are and remain the exclusive property of ALMADER International SPC and its licensors, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks may not be used without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ALMADER International SPC and its suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or profit, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

10. Modifications

We may revise these terms at any time. By continuing to use Absher after changes take effect, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
